Why are mundane words like this being censored in these posts?
I’ve seen a couple other ones of these that were unnecessarily censored, and this isn’t the first one where it only served to make reading it more frustrating.
What an awful day to be literate

I don’t think anyone is arguing the US wasn’t responsible for the current state of affairs, but ok
I’m incredibly biased in saying this, but:
I’m pretty sure the barbarism won’t be coming from the Marxist side of society
If the goal is total collapse, I don’t have much hope.
At the end of his term, (assuming he doesn’t worm his way into getting more than 2) the next administration is just going to pick up the pieces and do their best to keep the current elite in power. :/

This is the “Christianity” y’all voted for. I hope you’re happy, because I’m fairly certain Jesus wouldn’t be.

53·2 years agoI didn’t have to roll out the red carpet for Donald “Israel needs to win and win fast” Trump to push for voting reform.
Every terrible thing we told you would happen is currently happening, so I hope you’re happy for queer Americans and about the fate of Palestine. You got exactly what we told you we would get. I hope you’re comfy on your soapbox, because it’s not comfy for trans people right now. Thanks a lot.

1·2 years agoyet you think you own your community (you do not, no mods do)
Right.
Also “your community”? You’re literally the only one here claiming it’s my community.
And we’re already federated with .world. Always have been.

3·2 years agoPossibly. But they’re only marked as read, so if you’re not constantly hitting the “hide read” button you’ll still see the posts.
Plus, by default I’m pretty sure Lemmy feeds are sorted by Hot, so the more active threads will be the first one you see anyways.

45·2 years agoCtrl+F “tankie” and replace it with “authoritarianism apologist”, then. 🤷♀️ I can’t say your opinion means much to me if it boils down to a semantic argument.
Authoritarianism is antithetical to everything the left stands for, at least in America (especially under Trump’s reign). Being a communist isn’t enough for you to claim to be on my side.

10·2 years agoThe Summit app has a setting to automatically mark duplicate posts as read, but I can’t vouch for how well it works since I don’t use it much.
Point being, though, it’s definitely doable! At least on the client side.
