It isn’t every single Democratic senator (or even most of them), however. Which still isn’t okay of course, but it’s no surprise that that the shittier candidates are pandering.
I hope you’re figuring out how to visit their local offices and talk to staff about how horrified you are by their behavior. A ton of people are doing this all over the country.

Kind of like what happened after the initial violence in the fall of the roman republic. It started with sword point power grabs, but as time went on, they stopped ever trying to get any power back into the senate, and eventually bled out so much power that we don’t even know when the last meeting was.
