Maybe Trump thinks “South Africa” is everything south of the Sahara.
This hypothetical misunderstanding already assumes too much geographical knowledge on the part of Trump – namely “the Sahara exists”, “the Sahara is in Africa”, and “the Sahara is specifically in northern Africa”.
After watching the video of him and Ramaphosa, it seems clear to me there is a real chance the orange one thinks South Africa is simply the southernmost half of the African continent
Or that Africa is in the South hemisphere.
Bold of you to believe that Trump knows what the Sahara is.
