You are literally describing why our current form of democracy doesnt work. A select few are able to game the system by virtue of owning private media empires, and the only outcome is eventual, violent change.

Lukewarm take: modern democracy is a failure, in its own objective of giving the people political power. Giving everyone, regardless of qualification, a political voice does not work unless they also undergo extensive education in politics, philosophy and class consciousness.

It also requires that the available sources of information be rational, objective and unbiased, something impossible for private mass media.

So, in reality we end up where we are: vast swathes of unqualified and apathetic voters who the ruling class can herd into the desired electoral outcome; manipulated by lies and fear to vote against their own interests.

TLDR: Democracy only works as advertised when the rich are specifically and fully excluded from the process and the resources necessary to influence the outcome.

First of all, I don’t have a horse in this race. My media is stored locally and used only by my household. I really don’t give a shit if a corporation needs more revenue to satisfy their infinite growthTM.

My issue is with how they are doing it. Provide an extra service or function, introduce a higher tier with priority treatment or so. Thats fine with me.

What’s not fine is taking something away people used to get for free, because the shitty venture capital business model isn’t feasible and only provided these things to capture the market, and now comes the nickel and diming part of providing ever fewer services and functions for ever increasing amounts of money.

I dont think there is a height at all that lions would be limited to while jumping I would be comfortable with to he honest.

It doesn’t matter to me whether the man or woman has the job, what matters to me is that one working person could support a family, kids, owning a home, some vacations and still had enough money to save up and be generally not very concerned with finances.

Nazism isn’t necessarily antisemitic, but totalitarian, race based fascism. Hitler didn’t hate just the Jews, they were just the most convenient and plentiful enemy available in Germany at that time (we didn’t have many black slaves in the country for example, plus the Jews were a tried and tested enemy due to widespread antisemitic tendencies in the christian population).

He also didn’t care for most other races and ethnic groups and wanted them either to serve as a subservient class to the aryans (some eastern europeans for example), deport and “contain” them in their countries of origin (iirc most asian peoples) or, as with the jews, exterminate them by various means such as forced labor.
